Overview
The first time you log in to a course that has SmarterProctoring enabled, you'll be prompted to complete your profile and acknowledge the privacy policy and terms of use. This article walks you through that one-time setup.
Step 1: Open the SmarterProctoring Dashboard
Log in to your course and navigate to the SmarterProctoring dashboard.
Note: The menu button may have a different name depending on how your school has chosen to label it.
Step 2: Acknowledge the Privacy Policy and Terms of Use
When you open the SmarterProctoring dashboard for the first time, a window will appear showing the Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.
Review the Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.
Acknowledge all three statements at the bottom of the window by switching each toggle to the on position.
Click Submit.
Step 3: Complete Your Profile Settings
Welcome message will appear asking you to set some basic information for your SmarterProctoring profile. Click Get Started.
On the Profile Settings page, fill in the required information:
Preferred email: this can be a personal email instead of your school email. It's used for any notifications sent within SmarterProctoring.
Time zone and location: these are needed to show accurate face-to-face testing options.
Currency: to ensure any prices are presented in the correct currency.
When you're finished, click Save.
Editing Your SmarterProctoring Profile
If you ever need to update your SmarterProctoring profile information, you can access the Profile Settings by clicking the dropdown menu next to your name and selecting Settings.
Be sure to Save any changes.
