Overview

Students start every in-person booking by sending you, the proctor, a request with three preferred times. You accept one or reply, and then the student finalizes the booking. This is often referred to as the 3-step process.

Note: Each step outlined below has a 48 hour deadline.

Step 1: Receive a request

When a student requests a session, it appears in two places on your dashboard:

  • Action Required on the main dashboard. Select View Message to open it.

  • Messages, as a new message.

Each request shows the student’s name, exam, exam duration, any note from the student, and the three dates and times they requested.

Step 2: Respond to the request

You can either:

  • Accept one of the requested times. The student will see the accepted time on their dashboard.

  • Reply to the student. Use this if none of the times work (for example, you’re closed) or you need more information. You can ask the student to submit new times.

Requested times are removed from the message once one is accepted or the request expires.

Step 3: Student finalizes the booking

After you accept a time, the student must schedule and pay within 48 hours. Once they finish, the session will then appear on your dashboard as Scheduled.

Note: If the student doesn’t complete scheduling before the deadline, the request expires and they’ll need to start the process over with a new request.
