Overview
SmarterProctoring gives instructors several ways to review exam activity, from a quick visual summary to a detailed, session-by-session breakdown. This article walks through where to find each type of data and what it tells you.
In this article, you will learn about:
Student Status Graphs
Flag and Incident Alerts
Course Level Reports
Student Status Graph
On the exam details page, a status graph shows how many students fall into each status value for that exam (i.e. completed, in progress, scheduled, etc). This gives you an at-a-glance view of where the class stands without having to open individual sessions.
Hovering over any of the bars will identify the number of students represented.
Flag & Incident Alerts
You may also see yellow alert boxes on the exam details page. These highlight the total number of flags or incident reports identified so far for that exam, so you can quickly tell whether any sessions need a closer look.
Individual Flag Breakdown
For more detail, click the blue plus sign to expand the Virtual Proctoring Flags section. This expands into a student-by-student breakdown showing:
Which flags were detected during each student's session
How frequently each flag occurred
Course-Level Reports
To see data across an entire course rather than a single exam, click the Reports tab at the top of the screen. This view breaks down all testing sessions in the course by status and modality, making it a useful starting point when you want to review trends across multiple exams.
