Overview
To keep things fair and secure, SmarterProctoring automatically flags certain events during testing sessions. These flags help spot technical glitches or prohibited behaviors, making it easier for proctors and institutions to ensure exam integrity more efficiently.
In this article, you will learn about:
Communication & Connectivity Flags
Environmental & Behavioral Flags
Browser & Application Security Flags
Communication & Connectivity Flags
These flags monitor the stability of the connection to the proctoring environment.
Audio Stream Disconnected: Triggered if audio device fails, is unplugged, or the stream ends.
Screen Stream Disconnect/Reconnected: Indicates when the connection to screen share is lost or successfully re-established.
Webcam Stream Disconnected/Reconnected: Triggered when camera connection drops or returns.
Second Camera Stream Disconnect/Reconnected: Monitors the status of a secondary camera feed if one is required.

Dev Tools Accessed: Indicates if the browser’s developer console is opened during a locked session.
Blocked App Shutdown: Triggered if a prohibited application is discovered and closed after the exam has started.
Blocked Extension: Triggered if test taker attempts to enable a guarded browser extension after lockdown.

Split Tabs In Use: Detects if Chrome’s integrated split-tab feature is being utilized.
Printing Attempt: Triggered if test taker attempts to print exam content while "Disable Printing" is enforced.
Unauthorized Display Count: Raised if test taker has more monitors connected than allowed for the session.
